Our second boat was "Ladyslipper," a 26 foot "Seafarer 26" fiberglass sloop designed by MacCurdy and Rhodes. It was built in the 1970s and we used it in 1992 and 1993. It was the largest boat allowed in the Ossining Boat and Canoe Club where we kept it on a mooring. We renamed it for the "Lady's Slipper" orchids of New England. It was not a speedy boat but a solid coastal cruiser with decent accommodations. We had good adventures and interesting experiences aboard which led us to full-time cruising.
