The front cockpit is a well with a wooden slat floor. It is a secure place to work with sails and is great for socializing on pleasant evenings at anchor. The aquamarine Sunbrella cloth bag in the middle contains the staysail which hanks on to the inner forestay. The two lockers at the bottom of the photo store diesel fuel and sails, including our spinnaker.
