This is the main pier at the village. In 2010, speedboats made the 30 minute trips from and to Ranong three times daily. Departures from this pier were at 9:00, 13:00 and 16:00 for 350 Baht per person. There were also slower ferries, fishing boats and cargo boats using this pier. A small market operated on the pier and there were also shops in town and at the mid-island crossroads which sold fresh fruit and vegetables. Drinking water came from Ranong in plastic bottles (sizes up to 20 liters), while wells on the island supplied water for showers and laundry.
