Marabou Storks (Leptoptilos crumeniferous) resting beside the Chobe River. These massive birds can be five fet tall, weigh 20 pounds and have a wingspan of more than ten feet. They share with the South American Condor the largest wingspans of any land birds. They eat mainly carrion, scraps and feces but will take all sorts of live animals, birds and eggs too.
