We anchored south of little Portuguese island during a fairly strong northeast wind and moved around to its north side anticipating an even stronger south wind. This was a safe anchorage in the south wind but the boat rocked and rolled in the swells still coming from the northeast. The surf in this photo gives some indication of the waves.
